Event Highlights

Grand Entry Ceremonies:
The Grand Entry is a spectacular procession that marks the opening of each session of the Pow Wow. This must-see event will be performed on:

  • Friday at 7:00 PM
  • Saturday at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM
  • Sunday at 1:00 PM

The Grand Entry features a colorful display of dancers in traditional regalia, moving to the powerful rhythm of drums and songs. It’s a moment of unity and celebration, honoring the traditions and heritage of Native American tribes.

New for 2024: Parade
For the first time, the North Platte Pow Wow will include a Parade on Saturday at 10:30 AM. The parade route will wind through the scenic park, offering a delightful spectacle of floats, dancers, and community groups celebrating Native American culture.

Admission and Accessibility

Admission to the Pow Wow is affordable, with options to suit everyone:

  • $7 per person
  • $15 for a weekend pass

Special provisions ensure accessibility for all:

  • Free admission for attendees 65+, children under 5, veterans, and active-duty military personnel.

Event Guidelines

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees:

  • No pets or alcohol are allowed on the premises.
  • Overnight camping is available at the site of the Pow Wow.
  • Parking on the grounds of Buffalo Bill State Historical Park requires a Nebraska Game and Parks Permit. Both day and annual park passes will be available for purchase at the Pow Wow or online ahead of time.
